Organized by Computational Biology Group, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology Bio Innovation Center.
Well organised deliberations and topics were listed from basic to higher version, which make understanding easier. Faculty is internationally acclaimed with versatile experience.
The first part of the workshop "The development of the signaling pathway networks" was the best part of the workshop. It has motivated me to perform research based on the signaling pathway network analysis using computational and systems biology approach.
First day when there were introductory sessions regarding cell signaling and network analysis. Those lectures were meticulously explained by considering the smallest information of the data we want to analyse. I appreciate the way Dr. Rajesh enlighten us about the pathway formation.
I was impressed by the hospitality and the efforts taken by the team to ensure the safety of the participants on the first day of the workshop. The presentations and hands-on training provided were completely helpful to get a very good understanding about developing signaling pathways networks and analysis. I also got some ideas about the use of computational biology to substantiate wet lab research.
To me the best part was to have Dr. Rajesh Raju. He definitely has shared his experiences in the topics of the workshop and He tried to expose us to all the tools that any biologist will require in the field of signaling pathways and transcriptomics/proteomics.
i could appreciate the concern about the basic knowledge people. i enjoyed the pleasant environment here around. the best thing about the workshop is now I am going back to my bench with much confidence that i can do as i got what i expected form the workshop.
Many Thanks to Dr.Rajesh and his team.
The way of presentation of workshop, with using the different tools to visualization and analysis are the good part of the workshop.
The curation of pathway from the publicly available literature are the excellence and the theoretical part.
Both faculty are experts in their fields and given the training at their best.Overall this is very good workshop, well organized and I learned many tools related to proteogenomics. Thanks to faculty especially Dr. Mani.
I enjoyed thoroughly the statistical class on day 2. It was very much application based and understanding of it will surely help me in inspecting and analyzing data in future. It started from basic to advanced level. The lectures before hands on session were very good and helpful. The introduction to new tools and software was insighting.
The instructors were excellent. It was interactive and stimulated a lot of discussions. Querries were addressed to satisfaction. A well organized workshop.Congratulations to the instructors and organizers for organizing an excellent workshop.
Though the workshop outline was planned, it was flexible. The topics which were not part of the workshop were also explained when requested by participants. This is something I really liked.
The idea of using Nature paper as the template for the workshop was innovative for me. This approach allowed me to learn the proteogenomics data analysis in more practical way.
Trainers smartly adjusted the pace of the training even if some sessions had to be postponed to next day. This shows that providing training was priority than getting done with it.
Hands on and the informal nature of the speakers encouraged an interactive workshop through out its duration.Arrangement of transport and stay were excellent and well managed. The lecture sessions were intense for me in terms of content and promise to be very useful for future work.
I appreciate the interaction of Dr. Mani and Dr. Karsten Krug with the participants. They paid attention to each and every participants in all the timings including dining hours. They shares the experience that how they generated the data and the presentation style in their nature paper will be useful for us to make a good presentation mode. This was one of the most influential and informative workshop
The workshop was very well organised. The instructors were really good and approachable. They were well planned for each days session.
First of all, thank you very much for organizing this workshop. I got good idea and experience of using softwares for analyzing proteogenomics data. I also got good information from co-participants. Still I have to practice a lot to apply in studies.
Almost All things were good but hands-on practice was the main strength of the workshop.I learnt various things for my purpose.Thank you so much.
The course was very well organised and aptly delivered .All the speakers were very knowledgeable and interactive and helpful too.
The Instructions for practicals was very good. Being a beginner to computer programming, I was able to try and learn basics.
The instructors were good communicators as well as appraochable.Only after clearing everyones queries they moved on to next step. The handouts and hands-on session was good.
This was one of the best workshop on NGS and any of the other bioinformatics workshops that I have ever attended. All the presenters were clear about their subject and were very willing to discuss even the delicate aspects of it openly. The timing is perfect. Trainers were kind in clarifying our doubts! RGCB coordinators were doing a great job by extending all sort of support. Simply the best!
