Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Postdoctoral Fellow on a topic entitled "Metagenomic analysis of rhizosphere associated microbes from aquatic macrophytes for novel plant growth promoting enzymes" in the laboratory of Dr K. Harikrishnan, Environmental Biology Laboratory, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.
Essential Qualifications
- Doctorate in Biological Sciences.
- Hands-on experience on microbiology and molecular biology techniques.
Age
Below 35 years as on 24th December, 2018. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
Emoluments
As per DBT guidelines.
Duration
One year.
Selection Process
Suitably qualified candidates may send applications in the prescribed format
with a photograph, a copy of full resume indicating the percentage of
marks obtained and attested photocopies of credentials & experience to
reach the undersigned on or before 24thDecember, 2018.

Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project. Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance at a selection interview.
No TA/DA/Other emoluments will be given for appearing in the written test/interview.
