Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow in a DBT funded research project entitled "Delineating the DNA-binding function of Dock180" in the laboratory of Dr. Malini Laloraya at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.
The candidate must have a Master's Degree in any area of Biological Sciences with atleast 70% marks at Master's level. Preference will be given to those who qualified NET/GATE exam. Willingness to work with experimental animals and must have good communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in animal handling and cell culture work.
Experience in surgical protocols including in utero gene silencing in rodents will be desirable.
Below 28 years as on 15th April, 2017.
25,000 + 20% HRA per month for M.Sc. Degree holders who have qualified NET/GATE (with valid certificate) or Graduates in Professional Degree courses. M.Sc. degree holders who do not have NET/GATE certification will be eligible for 16,000/- + 20% HRA per month.
Two years or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and will be called for interview. In the event of more than 10 candidates being short-listed by screening the applications, a written test will be conducted before the selection interview and only those who are successful in the written test will be interviewed. No TA/ DA will be given for appearing in the interview.
