Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Project Scientist - I in an ICMR funded research project entitled "Epigenetic regulation of trophoblast stem cells involved in women reproductive health and disease: an observational and functional study " in the Laboratory of Dr. Debasree Dutta at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- MSc or equivalent degree in any branch of Life sciences, with 60% marks
- Minimum of 6 months of documented experience in mammalian cell culture.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in blood or placenta sample collection
- Documented experience in molecular and cell biology techniques like PCR cloning, transfection.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Read, write and speak Malayalam
- Experience in interaction with doctors and nurses
- Experience of working with placenta
- Can perform Immunohistochemistry
AGE
Below 35 years as on 18th February, 2025 . Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
EMOLUMENT
₹56,000/- + 18 % HRA per month.
Duration for both JRF and Technician:
For a period of one year or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier) and extendable based on the performance evaluation.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Applications should be submitted online.
- Candidates who are currently working in Government firms should send applications through proper channel.
- Last date for receiving completed applications is February 18, 2024 .
- If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate applications should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
Applications which are not in the prescribed format will summarily be rejected.
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Applicants will be short listed for the Hybrid mode (Online-Offline) selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
