Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Project Associate - I in a DST- SERB funded research project entitled "Sensitizing of immune unresponsive colorectal cancers to checkpoint inhibitors through silencing of Acid Ceramidase expression" in the Laboratory of Dr. K.B. Harikumar at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

1. Good Academic records with First Class Master’s Degree in any branch of life sciences.

2. The candidate should have a minimum of 6 month documented experience in mammalian cell culture or handling laboratory animals and knowledge about pre-clinical models of cancer.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

The Candidate should have qualified National Eligibility Test–CSIR/UGC-NET/LS or GATE or DBT-BET/ ICMR/DST-Inspire Fellowship.

AGE

Below 32 years as on November 20, 2025 . Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.

EMOLUMENT

₹ 31,000/- + 16% HRA per month for candidates having with both essential and desirable qualifications and ₹ 25,000/- + 16% HRA for those who having essential qualifications.

DURATION

Initially for a period of 11 months or till termination of the project whichever is earlier (whichever is earlier) and extendable based on the performance evaluation

SELECTION PROCESS

1. Applications should be submitted online.
2. Candidates who are currently working in Government firms should send applications through proper channel.
3. Last date for receiving completed applications is November 20, 2025.
4. If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate applications should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.

Applications which are not in the prescribed format will summarily be rejected.

No TA/ DA will be given for appearing in the interview.
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Applicants will be short listed for the online selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
