Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DST -SERB research project entitled, “Deciphering the role of novel reticulocyte surface proteins in Plasmodium vivax”, in the laboratory of Dr. Rajesh Chandramohanadas at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must have a first-class Post Graduate Degree in any branch of life sciences

The candidate should have qualified CSIR-UGC NET, DBT-BET, GATE, etc.

The candidate must be familiar with research practices and methodologies, and have good knowledge and experience in one or more areas such as molecular biology, cell biology or protein biochemistry
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in research involving cell culture, infectious agents and recombinant protein expression systems would be desirable.
AGE
Below 26 years as on November 30, 2025. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
EMOLUMENT
₹ 37,000/- + 18% HRA per month.
DURATION
Initially for a period of 11 months or till termination of the project whichever is earlier and extendable based on the performance evaluation.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Applications should be submitted online.
- Candidates who are currently working in Government firms should send applications through proper channel.
- Last date for receiving completed applications is November 30, 2025.
- If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate applications should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
Applications which are not in the prescribed format will summarily be rejected.
No TA/ DA will be given for appearing in the interview.
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Applicants will be short listed for the online selection interview based on eligibility criteria.
Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
