Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Project Associate - I in the ANRF funded project “Investigating the safety profile of Nano DNA-LNP Dengue vaccine against antibody – Dependent Enhancement of Dengue and other Flaviviral infection in Mouse Models” of Dr. Arun Sankardoss, Scientist- C at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram. The interview will be held in hybrid mode [in-person and online]. The in-person interview will take place at the Bio Innovation Centre, RGCB, Akkulam Campus
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate should have a first class Master’s degree in Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry with a qualified National Eligibility Test–CSIR-UGC-NET/LS or DBT-BET/ ICMR/Fellowship/JEST/JGEEBILS or GATE.

Good Academic record with a First Class Master’s Degree in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry.

The candidate must have at least one year of documented experience in cell culture, small animal handling, and experimental virology, i.e. virus culturing, plaque assays and foci forming assays.

Candidates who possess documented experience in a BSL-II level research lab will be given a distinct advantage in the selection process.
AGE
Below 28 years as on June 30, 2025. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms
EMOLUMENT
₹ 37,000/- + 16% HRA per month for candidates who are National Eligibility Tests qualified.
₹ 31,000/- + 16% HRA for candidates who are not qualified for the National Eligibility Exam.
Hostel Facilities will not be provided by RGCB.
DURATIONInitially for a period of one year and extendable till termination of the project whichever is earlier based on performance evaluation.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Applications should be submitted online.
- Candidates who are currently working in Government firms should send applications through proper channel.
- Last date for receiving completed applications is June 30, 2025.
- If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate applications should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
Applications which are not in the prescribed format or without any proof of experience will summarily be rejected.
No TA/ DA will be given for appearing in the interview.
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Applicants will be short listed for the selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
