Writing about science

Popular Science articles, fiction to think about science, blogs and opinion articles. We also share our content from our favorite science communicators.

Workshops

Every year, we host around 3,000 school students through programs such as Outreach Open Days, Shadow-a-Scientist, and Summer and Winter internships. The Shadow-a-Scientist program and the Summer/Winter internships are immersive initiatives that attract students from different schools in and around Delhi each year. Our science outreach efforts also include teacher training programs that equip participants with current scientific techniques.

Resources

IGIB conducts hands-on experiments with school students using in-house-developed Lab-at-Home kits that allow students to extract DNA from saliva. Around 5,000 students have used these kits to understand the basic concepts of DNA, genes, and genomes. These starter kits are used during both on- and off-campus visits to initiate discussions on genetics and genetic disorders. We acknowledge consistent funding support under the CSIR-JIGYASA program and IGIB outreach.
