Instructions for Applicants

Please read all instructions carefully before proceeding with the application.

  1. Candidates must register by clicking 'Register Here', in order to access the online application form. The email ID used for registration must belong to the applicant. The email address must be valid and functional. There is no possibility for changing the registered email address in future. All communications shall be sent only to the registered email address.
  2. Once, registration is done succesfully, Candidates can 'Login' to the portal by entering 'Email' as well as 'Password' and proceed to fill the PhD Admission Application Form.
  3. After filling in all the required details, the candidates with Application Fee (Rs. 500) can make Online payment through 'SB Collect' of State Bank of India using the webpage link(URL) given in the Payment Stage of Application Form. Candidates, who are exempted from paying fees can directly proceed to the Final Submission.
  4. Applicants are advised to provide the correct information as required while filling in the online application form, especially 'Reference Number' that is generated after making payment through 'SB collect'. RGCB will not be responsible for any consequences that may arise due to submission of wrong information/ Reference Number. In case any applicant provides wrong Reference Number and thereby the payment towards application fee fails to get reconciled, such application forms may be rejected.
    While making payment through 'SB collect', please select "GOVT/ PSU/ COURTS " and Type "Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology"
  5. If payment is successful, the candidates can proceed to final submission stage and complete their application form.
  6. Finally, the candidates need to submit the filled form. Please note that no modifications/alterations would be permitted in the application form after final submission. Hence the candidates are advised to verify the correctness and adequacy of the information filled by them before the final submission.
  7. After successfully submitting the application form, a confirmation page will be generated. You can download the Application Form and keep it safely for future use.

  9. Candidates need not send any documents such as proof of age, proof of category, proof of application fee payment etc. or hard copy application
  10. Applications that do not meet minimum eligibility will be rejected. There will be no refund of Application Fee under any circumstances.
  11. Candidates are advised to complete their online form submission well before the last date to avoid last minute rush.

Please ensure that all scanned documents are clear and legible. Applications submitted with illegible documents may be rejected.
