ONE DAY WORKSHOPS
#3 : PROGRAMMING FOR BIOLOGISTS
Trainer: Dr. Jamshaid Ali
Date : 27-05-2021
This one-day training program covered
three major programmatic technologies
used in bioinformatics. It taught the entry-
level bioinformaticians and biologists how
to use the Linux shell, Perl, Python, and R to
execute computations in biological research
and generate information from data. This
course used data from DNA and amino acid
sequences, microarray profiles, and biological
annotations.

#4 : PRACTICES IN MOLECULAR
DOCKING
Trainer: Dr. K C Sivakumar
Date : 09-06-2021
This course was designed for students
interested in learning the theoretical foundations
and a hands-on approach to Molecular Docking.
There is no previous experience in the field of
structural bioinformatics required to participate
in this course, however, a basic knowledge of
protein structure is advantageous. Experience
with a UNIX-like command-line environment is
not required, but it helps to type the commands
into the modeling concepts and biology.
