Applications are invited from suitable candidates (citizens of India) for one position of Senior Project Assistant in an ICMR funded research project entitled "Affinity-tuned CAR T cells are targeting refractory CD20 (+) B lineage malignancies for enhanced safety and antitumor functions” in the Laboratory of Dr. Sunil Martin at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram. The focus of the laboratory is to redirect the immune cells by engineering synthetic receptors to understand the basic mechanisms and to explore its translational potential in cancer immunotherapy. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  1. The candidates with M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Biophysics/Medical Laboratory Technician/ Microbiology with 80% or more marks and hands on experience in basic laboratory techniques.
  2. Organized and meticulous in record keeping with excellent interpersonal skills.
  3. Experience with operating scientific instruments used in molecular biology/immunology experiments.
  4. Experience or aptitude for laboratory management.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience in molecular biology and mammalian cell culture.
  2. Experience in handling and processing human blood.
  3. Experience with biomedical instrumentation
  4. A commitment to complete the project.

AGE

Below 28 years as on April 02, 2024. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms

EMOLUMENT

₹ 30,600/- consolidated per month.

DURATION

Initially for a period of one year and extendable up to three years or till termination of the project whichever is earlier based on performance evaluation.

SELECTION PROCESS

  1. Applications should be submitted online.
  2. Candidates who are currently working in Government firms should send applications through proper channel.
  3. Last date for receiving completed applications is April 02,2024.
  4. If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate applications should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.

Applications which are not in the prescribed format will summarily be rejected.

Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Applicants will be short listed for the ONLINE selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
