Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Project Technical Support-III (Non-medical) in the ICMR- funded extramural project titled “Identification of Novel Extracellular Vesicle-Associated Bacterial Antigens and Host Biomarkers in Bacterial Pneumonia” in the laboratory of Dr. Karthik Subramanian at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Essential Qualifications

• Three years graduate in relevant subject field + three years of experience or post-graduation in the field of life science/ microbiology/cell biology/immunology.

Desirable Qualifications

• Prior working experience with mammalian cell cultures and preferably extracellular vesicles/exosomes isolation and characterization.
• Proficiency in basic molecular biology techniques including RNA isolation, protein gel electrophoresis, western blotting.
• Basic experience of microbiology techniques in BSL2 laboratory.
• Familiar with proteomics, RNA sequencing and data analysis.
• Experience of working with clinical samples will be an advantage.
• Basic laboratory maintenance, including ordering supplies, inventory, preparing reports, and assisting with research staff.

Age

Below 30 years as on February 06 ^th, 2026. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms

Emolument

₹ 28000/- + 20% HRA per month. per month for candidates having both essential and desirable qualifications. Hostel facilities will be provided by RGCB subject to availability in lieu of HRA.

Duration

Initially for a period of one year or till termination of the project whichever is earlier and extendable based on the performance evaluation.

Selection Process

1. Applications should be submitted online.
2. Candidates currently working in Government firms should send applications through proper channel.
3. Last date for receiving completed applications is February 06, 2026.
4. If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate application forms should be submitted for each position.
5. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
   
   Applications which are not in the prescribed format will summarily be rejected.
   Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Applicants will be short listed for the online selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
