Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for 1 position of PROJECT OFFICER (BIOCHEMISTRY) in the Public Health Research & Services Programme - CMLS Unit of Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) at Kollam District.

Essential Qualifications

• First Class Post-Graduate Degree in Biochemistry

Desirable Qualifications

• Candidates with minimum 5 years of experience in Hospital Labs / Diagnostic-Clinical Laboratory with prior knowledge in Quality Standards, Documentation in NABH/NABL Accreditations and Laboratory Managements

Age

Below 45 years as on July 31, 2026. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.

Emolument

A consolidated pay of ₹ 30,000 per month.

Duration

Initially for a period of one year and extendable based on performance evaluation on yearly basis.

Selection Process

1. Applications should be submitted online.
2. Candidates currently working in Government firms should send applications through proper channel.
3. Last date for receiving completed applications is 31^st July 2026.
4. If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate application forms should be submitted for each position.
5. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
   
   Applications which are not in the prescribed format will summarily be rejected.
   No TA/ DA will be given for appearing in the interview.
   Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Applicants will be short listed for the online selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
