BRIC-RGCB celebrated International Women's Day. Two invited talks were organized organized on the occasion. Prof Balram Bhargava, Former DG, ICMR, detailed his journey on their struggles in developing India's first indigenous covid vaccine. Dr Sharmila Bapat, Director of BRIC-NCCS, narrated her several decade-old journey in ovarian cancer research. Earlier, Professor Chandrabhas Narayana, Director, welcomed the gathering. We also conducted a panel discussion on " Effective strategies and resources from impactful organisations worldwide that help accelerate action ". Along with Chief guests, Dr Debasree Dutta, Dr Karthik Subramanian (Scientists), Vrinda A M and Shaima K (PhD students) participated in the panel discussion. Dr Moumita Srivastava, Scientist, RGCB was the moderator. The IWD-2025 program was co-ordinated by Dr Priya Srinivas and Dr Devasena Anantharaman.
