RGCB Crystallography Workshop - 2023
Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, along with Vivertana Distributors Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore, and ICDD, USA, organized the RGCB Crystallography Workshop 2023 on the 12th and 13th of December 2023, in the Akkulam campus. This ICDD Workshop on Materials Characterization Using Powder X-ray Diffraction had stellar experts in the field, such as Prof. Tayur N. Guru Row and Prof. Arun M. Umarji from IISc Bangalore, and Dr. Soorya N. Kabekkodu from ICDD, USA as the speakers and trainers. The workshop convener and Director of RGCB, Prof. Chandrabhas Narayana, gave the inaugural address. The co-convener, Dr. Dileep Vasudevan (Scientist, RGCB), welcomed the participants and the distinguished guests. The 2-day workshop with lectures and interactive, hands-on sessions on PDF-5+ and JADEPro programs had 30 participants. The attendees are provided a two-week post workshop access to the programs. The workshop organizing team included the RGCB scientists Dr. Shijulal Nelson Sathi, Dr. Kathiresan Natarajan, and Dr. Debanjan Bhowmik.
