Inauguration of Triphala Society for Tribal Medicine and Development
Triphala Society for Tribal Medicine and Development, Peringamala, Thiruvananthapuram, focuses on sustainable harvesting and value addition of medicinal plants, and the preservation of traditional tribal medicine practices. RGCB’s Tribal Heritage Project supported by the DST-SHRI program. The Society was supported with a workshed for establishing the unit, essential machineries for the primary processing and consumables. The facility was inaugurated by Prof. Chandrabhas Narayana, Director, RGCB on 22 February 2024. The facility created will be utilized for the efficient processing of medicinal plants, enabling the society to create products with higher market value.
